As someone who teaches TOPIK to students preparing for the test, I always say this: The most important study material is the official TOPIK past papers. But many students especially beginners don’t know where to find them. So I decided to organize all the links in one place. If you’re preparing for TOPIK I, this post is for you. I’ve collected direct links to recent official exams from the TOPIK website so you don’t have to search everywhere.
Why You Should Study with TOPIK Past Papers
TOPIK isn’t just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar. It’s about understanding the style of the questions, the way Korean is used in context, and the timing.
Practicing with real past test will help you:
- Learn what types of questions appear again and again
- Get used to the time pressure
- See the real level of vocabulary and grammar used

Study Tips
Here’s how I recommend you use past exams:
- Print out the test! Especially if you're taking the paper based version (PBT).
- Try it under real test conditions, Use a timer!
- Go back and solve the same questions 2–3 times to reinforce what you learned.
- Focus on understanding why you got something wrong not just getting the answer.
- Check and highlight any unknown words or grammar and Study!
This method works. I’ve seen students improve a lot just by following these steps consistently.
Good luck with your TOPIK study!
